Winter 2022 Updates

WIBCO is also actively pursuing potential projects related to properties lost from last year’s wildfires with OKIB and private insurers.

We are happy to report that we have recently been awarded a house rebuild for a family living along Westside Road. WIBCO is in the early planning stages of constructing 3 new homes for Ntityix Development Corporation in Westbank and anticipates excavation to start mid-Spring 2022.

This year is looking to be a very productive one and we expect that we will need to add to the team, so if you are a hardworking labourer, or an experienced carpenter, please feel free to send your resume to Paul at for consideration.

As per the Fall newsletter, we are preparing a helpful home checklist for WFN residents now that the warmer weather is upon us. Stay Tuned!

WIBCO Construction completed the demolition of the Little Kingdom Shopping Centre in OKIB. The project was awarded based on a competitive low-bid nature and was completed on time and under budget. The team made a conscious effort to ensure that all materials that could be either used or recycled safely were separated to avoid ending up in the landfill.

The design-build office tenant improvement project for the First Nation Finance Authority (FNFA) now includes elements such as carved cedar panels, LED Skylights, LED lighting, and decorative herringbone wood ceilings (as depicted below). The project is now substantially complete.

Regarding our finalist nomination at this year’s Awards of Excellence through the Canadian Home Builders Association we will be attending this year’s gala. This is the first time WIBCO has submitted an entry for this prestigious award.
