Summer 2023 Updates

Kilawna Builders had a very busy summer with several projects. The custom single-family home in upper Glenrosa is currently at the finishing stage and the exterior of the home is now completed. This project is a 2500sf home with attached double garage and finished basement. The home will be completed on schedule this fall. This home was managed on site by our superintendent Ken Ahner.

We have also been working with the First Nations Finance Authority on another exciting office tenant improvement project. The project superintendent for this project is Scott Barras, who brings vast finishing experience to our team This project includes roughly 4000sf of new office space, designed to compliment the recent improvements made to their second-floor space. The project is currently at the drywall stage, and we are in the process of completing remaining finishings.

In September 2023, the company won a competitive bid for the Fox Road duplex renovation for Westbank First Nation. We anticipate starting the project soon. This project will include selective demolition and rebuilding of the existing wood structure. I am excited to announce that Chad Paul (WFN Member) will be the project superintendent on this job site.

Kilawna Builders has been working with the NDC and their joint venture partner on budgeting and preconstruction planning for Spland Road phase 2 to secure an important role with the incoming project.

We thank all the emergency support workers and fire fighters, for protecting our homes and community. Our hearts go out to all those who lost homes and we want you know we are here to assist as needed.
