- Sensisyusten House of Learning, a 16,000-square-foot independent elementary school located in the heart of the Westbank First Nation community core, was built like a traditional First Nation qʷc̓iʔ (pit house). Pit houses, traditionally round in configuration, were built and utilized by the syilx/Okanagan as a place to live, tell stories, celebrate, and store food. This project was completed in 1995.
